Diagnostic Ultrasound

Diagnostic Ultrasound uses sound waves to produce a medical image. The sound waves penetrate through the skin, bounce off the underlying structures, and bounce back to the handheld device, which translates into an image. Diagnostic Ultrasound is most notably used during pregnancy by your OB/GYN specialist.
