Reconstructive Foot & Ankle Surgery

Most of the surgeries performed at our practice are classified as "Reconstructive." The primary indication for surgery is pain, and most foot and ankle pain is caused by variations from normal human anatomy. Our goal is to restore your body to it's optimal position, allowing for increased functionality and decreased pain.

If you have a painful deformity, many times, surgery is the best option to fix the problem. There are ways to accommodate, or manage, the symptoms with Conservative Treatment, but surgery is the only way to correct the deformity. Deformities may be caused by an immediate trauma, such as a fracture, or a progressive deformity, such as bunions or flatfeet. Either way, surgery may be necessary to restore your foot back to it's natural anatomy.

Conditions That May Require Reconstructive Surgery:

  • Achilles Tendonitis/Rupture
  • Ankle Instability
  • Arthritis of the Foot & Ankle
  • Deformity of the Foot & Ankle
    • Bunions
    • Flatfeet
    • Hammertoes
  • Fractures of the Foot & Ankle

Following surgery, Physical Therapy is often utilized in order to re-train you muscles, ligaments, and tendons how to function in their new, proper position.
